Subaru FT-86 - Toyobaru, Toyota-Subaru colaboration
Tokyo: Two leading Japanese automobile manufacturers, Subaru and Toyota launched the luxury sports car variant Working together, the Toyota FT-86 or better known as Toyobaru. This car is scheduled to be launched at the Geneva car exhibition Auto Show 2011.As reported Insideline.com site, recently, the Subaru stated, "This Toyobaru latest sports car under a joint production process part of a business alliance with Toyota. This car has a new platform that offers a distinctive trademark and the Subaru core technologies, Subaru Boxer machine. "
Subaru FT-86 equipped with Subaru Boxer engine capacity of 2.0 liter turbocharger, and the estimated power between 160-308 horsepower and will use the Legacy platform. These machines will be coupled with six-speed manual transmission rear wheel.
The exhibition was also, Subaru Impreza will promote the concept for the European market has ever launched in November 2010 ago at the Los Angeles Auto Show and a compact wagon Trezia which was recently launched in Japan. (JAY / ANS)
